Six of the best from DHL WP in East London

DHL Western Province scored six tries on their way to a comfortable 48-24 SuperSport Rugby Challenge win against Border in East London on Saturday.

Following a tight first half, DHL Western Province made their opportunities count after half-time, scoring five tries in the second half at Old Selbornians Rugby Club.

Wing Nico Leonard scored the only try in the first half, with flyhalf Abner van Reenen adding two penalties to give the visitors a 13-7 advantage at the break.

Hooker Chad Solomon scored a maul try early in the second half and that was followed up by another five-pointer from No.8 Marno Redelinghuys as DHL Western Province took control.

Border hit back with a few tries of their own, but it was not long before Solomon got over for his second and there were further tries from replacement back Cornel Smit and captain Craig Barry to put the seal on the victory for DHL Western Province.
