Loose forward Marno Redelinghuys will captain DHL Western Province in their SuperSport Rugby Challenge Cape derby against neighbours Boland at Florida Park on Sunday.
DHL Western Province will be looking to end the league phase of the competition unbeaten and top the South Section when they face Boland at 14h30 on Sunday in what will be the last of three games at Tygerberg RFC.
Action will get underway at 10h30 when hosts Tygerberg face Durbanville-Bellville in a club game, with the Cell C Sharks up against SWD Eagles at 12h30 before the Cape derby.
Gates open at 09h30, with entrance free and parking available in the vicinity at a cost of R20 per vehicle.
Redelinghuys is at No.8 and completes the loose trio with flanks Ben-Jason Dixon and Dian Koen.
The only change to the tight five sees Michael Kumbirai start at tighthead prop alongside hooker Schalk Erasmus and loosehead Kwenzo Blose.
In the backline Paul de Wet is at scrumhalf, with Justin Phillips among the replacements. Lyle Hendricks comes back into the team at inside centre, while out wide wings Andre Manuel and Sihle Njezula form an all-new back three with fullback Tristan Leyds.
DHL Western Province Head Coach Jerome Paarwater said that his team want to end the league phase of the competition with a good performance.
“It is always tough when we go up against Boland, who will be highly motivated for this game.
“Our focus is on maintaining our own standards and imposing our game on them,” he said.
On Saturday at 17h15 the DHL Stormers will take on the Sunwolves at DHL Newlands. Tickets for this game are still available online at wprugby.computicket.com, any Computicket outlet and the stadium box office.
