0 – Kick-off in dry but chilly conditions in Joburg. Early knock-on from DHL WP so the home side get an early scrum.
2 – An early scrum penalty as Steven Kitshoff gets the better of his opposite number, so DHL WP can set up an attacking line-out just outside the 22.
7 – Xerox Lions blown up at the maul, so Swiel takes aim at the poles and opens the scoring with a penalty to put DHL WP 3-0 up.
10 – Swiel gets up well to take a high ball and the Lions are awarded a penalty, but Elton Jantjies pulls it wide.
15 – Frans Malherbe wins a scrum penalty and Swiel has another shot at goal from just inside our own half, but it just goes wide.
19 – DHL WP get a good shove on in the scrum, but Steven Kitshoff is blown up for walking around and Xerox Lions fullback Tiaan Swanepoel slots a penalty from his own half to level it up at 3-3.
22 – Kitshoff wins another scrum penalty as the Xerox Lions front row goes down again and Swiel steps up to slot the kick to put DHL WP up 6-3.
26 – The Lions put together a series of phases, but the DHL WP defence holds up well and forces them to kick a grubber through which goes dead.
28 – Steven Kitshoff blown up at the breakdown this time, so Swanepoel takes aim at the poles and kicks a penalty to level things up again at 6-6.
33 – The Lions go close, but some great defence from Juarno Augustus as he wins a breakdown penalty deep in the 22 to relieve the pressure.
37 – The Xerox Lions play the ball on the ground in front of the poles and Tim Swiel slots his third penalty to put DHL WP up 9-6 just before half-time.
40 – Half-time in Joburg where there have been no tries in the first half, but DHL WP take a 9-6 lead into the break thanks to plenty of scrum dominance from the forwards and three penalties from the boot of flyhalf Tim Swiel.
41 – Second half underway and one change for DHL WP, with Johan du Toit on for No.8 Juarno Augustus.
43 – Xerox Lions blown up for not rolling away in the tackle as it takes a few of them to take Steven Kitshoff down. Tim Swiel kicks his fourth penalty to take the lead out to 12-6.
45 – The Lions win a breakdown penalty this time and Swanepoel takes aim from his own half again, but pulls this one wide.
49 – The DHL WP backline stray offside and Swanepoel kicks his third penalty to cut the lead to 12-9 with 30 mins left to play.
54 – Some magic feet from Seabelo Senatla creates some space and he puts Ruhan Nel away down the touchline before getting it back from his good mate to race away for the first try. That takes DHL WP’s lead out to 19-9.
60 – Lions win a scrum penalty and launch a few mauls as the DHL WP defence is tested and comes up trumps as Ruhan Nel wins a breakdown penalty on the tryline. A few replacements on the field now for DHL WP in the form of Paul de Wet, David Meihuizen, Scarra Ntuebni and Neethling Fouche.
66 – DHL WP blown up for obstruction so Tiaan Swanepoel kicks his fourth penalty for Xerox Lions to reduce the DHL WP lead to 19-12 heading into the last 14 mins.
71 – A quick tap from Xerox Lions wing Stean Pienaar and he stretches to score. That levels the scores at 19-19 heading into the last 9 mins in Joburg.
79 – Lions awarded a penalty in front of the poles in the last minute for offside and Swanepoel kicks it over to see the home side claim a 22-19 win.
