Below is the applicable SARU regulation should this evening’s Vodacom Cup final between GWK Griquas and DHL Western Province (kick off 19h10) be drawn.
“2.3 FINAL MATCHES
If scores are level after the scheduled time, the winner will be determined as follows:
2.3.1 the team scoring the most points within a (20) twenty minute extra time (10) minutes each way with a one (1) minute break); and if still level
2.3.2 the team with the highest log position immediately prior to the semifinal matches in that competition during the current season shall be the winner.”
Therefore if the scores were to be level at the end of normal time, and remain so at the end of extra-time, DHL Western Province would be declared the winner by virtue of having a higher log position at the end of the log season.
