Hooker Andre-Hugo Venter will start in one of two changes to the DHL Western Province team to face Vodacom Bulls U21 in Paarl on Saturday.
There is one change to the forward pack and one in the backline as DHL Western Province U21 look to build on their win against Cell C Sharks U21 in their opening game in Durban last week.
Venter’s lastmatch was the Vodacom United Rugby Championship Grand Final at DHL Stadium, which saw him score a try after coming off the bench as the DHL Stormers claimed the inaugural title.
The other change to the DHL Western Province team is in midfield, with Ruben Labuschagne coming in at inside centre and Suleiman Hartzenberg shifting to outside centre to replace injured captain Ethan James.
As a result lock Simon Miller takes over the captaincy for the North-South clash, which kicks off at 11h15 on Saturday at Paarl Gimnasium.
DHL Western Province U21 Head Coach Nazeem Adams said that his team will be looking to build on an encouraging start to their campaign.
“We are pleased to have got off to a winning start last week, although we know that this team can still raise their standards further.
“We know that this will be a big challenge, but it is one that we are looking forward to, especially as it is our first game at home,” he said.
