DHL Western Province U19 picked up their fifth straight win of the season with a resounding 66-5 victory against Leopards U19 in Potchefstroom on Friday.

DHL Western Province U19 picked up their fifth straight win of the season with a resounding 66-5 victory against Leopards U19 in Potchefstroom on Friday.

Coach Nazeem Adams’ side ran in six tries in the first half and a further three after half-time saw the visitors cruise to a comfortable win on the road.

Scrumhalf Jondre Williams was accurate as ever off the kicking tee, slotting nine conversions and a penalty for a personal haul of 21 points from his boot.

Flank Nama Xaba, prop Lee-Marvin Mazibuko, flyhalf Jordan Chait and No.8 Zain Davids all crossed the whitewash for tries in the first half, whilst centre David Brits got over for a double to give them a 45-0 advantage at half-time.

The half-century was raised early in the second half as the replacements got involved, with Adriaan van der Bank and Roux Swart both getting over, while the hosts managed to get a try of their own before DHL Western Province managed to have the final say through lock Cobus Wiese.
