U21s scrap for bonus point win

The DHL Western Province Under-21 team made a winning start to their 2014 Absa Provincial Under-21 season, but they were made to fight for their bonus point victory at City Park.

The Province Under-21 side grabbed a 20-17 win over the Free State Under-21s on Saturday afternoon, scoring four tries to two and fighting back from deficits in both halves.

Left-wing Lihleli Xoli scored the game and bonus point clinching try three minutes from full-time, with captain and flank Eital Bredenkamp scoring a hat-trick of tries – one just before half-time and two in the second half.
