In Super League A, a late surge from Hamiltons saw them overcome a game Kuilsriver side 50–32. Kuilsriver had been in the game up until the final stages and can be proud of the effort they showed against one of the league’s premier clubs.

SK Walmers put last week’s disappointing loss to Brackenfell behind them with a narrow but crucial 17–15 win over Sir Lowrians. Belhar and Primrose played out to a thriller at Accordian Park in a ferocious contest that was ultimately won by the hosts 41–32. Durbell meanwhile opened up their campaign with a 39–13 win over Brackenfell in a local derby encounter.

Our Varsity Cup and Varsity Shield teams will be back in action this week with UWC taking on False Bay on Thursday night.

In Super League B, Union-Milnerton continued their unbeaten start with a narrow 29–28 victory over Hands & Heart in Eikendal.

Pniel Villagers upset Villagers as they defeated them 31–23 at Brookside. In Mamre, Hamlets and Helderberg played out a thrilling 66–48 contest in what was one of the standout ties of the round. Collegians got back to winning ways with a stunning display of running rugby as they easily defeated Goodwood 49–18.

This league also saw good wins for Young People over Violets, Kraaifontein over Strand, and Bellville over Macassar in a high-scoring round of Super League B action.

In Super League C, Young Stars overcame a gallant Lagunya 28 – 14 to preserve their unbeaten start. Rangers continued their winning ways with an 18–11 win over Strand United, Kylemore meanwhile continued their good start in the league as they claimed an emphatic 49–12 win over Masiphumelele.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Blue Jets over Raithby Universals, Franschhoek United over new comers Hamediehs, Langa over Silverleaf, and Paarl scoring a good win over Elsies River United.

In the Paarl League, Lower Paarl defeated Young Standards 27–10, Violets (Paarl) overcame Paarl Rangers 24–20 in a tight contest and Windmeul easily beat Perel United 48-17.

In the Regional leagues, Caledonian Roses overcame Manenberg Rangers 22–16 in a local derby in the City League. Police recorded their first win of the season by overcoming Western Zebras in Langa 21–11 and Watsonia beat Perserverance 25–18 at City Park.

In the Northern League Blakes bounced back from their shock defeat last week by recording a good win over Imiqhayi 64–27, Stellenbosch Coronations totally outclassed Khayelitsha and recorded a huge 103–7 score and All Saints recorded a good win over Blue Stars United 25–10. Vineyards continued their tremendous form in their maiden season in the league with another convincing win over Whistling Wheels beating them 64–10.

In the Southern League Eersterivier easily beat Young Brothers 78–7, Rocklands picked a 29–15 victory over Peninsula in Mitchells Plain and Northern got back to winning ways by beating Titans 27–10.
