Stadium rules: DHL WP v Cheetahs

PUBLISHED: August 14, 2015

Three provincial encounters will take place between DHL Western Province and the Free State Cheetahs at DHL Newlands on Saturday and spectators are reminded of the stadium rules ahead of our first home match in the 2015 Absa Currie Cup competition.

Saturday’s action between DHL Western Province and the Cheetahs gets underway at 10h45, starting with Absa Provincial Under-19 action. The DHL WP U21s and Cheetahs will lock horns in the Absa Provincial Under-21 competition at 12h45, before the main game gets underway at 15h00.

Rain and strong winds have been predicted ahead of the main game (see below for rules regarding umbrellas in the stadium), so spectators should get to the ground early to avoid any queues at kick-off, as well as being able to take in both curtain-raisers.

Match tickets, priced between R40 (for standing) and R60-R100 (for seats), can still be purchased – either online, at http://wprugby.computicket.com, or from Computicket outlets and Shoprite & Checkers stores nationwide.

Some important points for spectators to remember ahead of Saturday, August 15 (2015):

– The DHL Newlands Box Office will open from 09h00 (until kick-off), for ticket sales and collections.
– The Box Office – and stadium shop – will close for approximately ten minutes for the two team bus arrivals on matchday at +/- 15h45/50.

– Obviously intoxicated individuals will either be declined entry to the ground or removed from the ground.
– Please ensure you sit in your allocated seat(s). If there are any problems, please ask your nearest stand official/security guard.
