Exciting Western Province club side, SK Walmers are preparing for their crucial Cell C Community Cup, Pool A match at The Track like it’s a final.
Walmers will qualify as the second-placed team in Pool A if they beat their opponents, GAP Despatch, in Saturday’s winner-takes-all league clash in Green Point.
“Our guys are preparing like it’s a final. They’re focused to move on to the knock-out phase of the tournament,” said SK Walmers’ Ebrahim Christian.
“We’ve been hit by some serious injuries – namely losing Wilton Pietersen (shoulder) and Madeeg ‘Puppis’ Davids (knee ligaments)… both will be out for the rest of the tournament.
“The two weeks on the road proved costly where injuries is concerned but as the saying goes the show must go on. Green Point Track is the place to be on Saturday so bring your families and be part of our road to the play-offs.”
