DHL Western Province U19 picked up their seventh consecutive victory when they beat Toyota Free State Cheetahs U19 33-20 at DHL Newlands on Friday.

The home side outscored the visitors by four tries to two in an entertaining game which was played in good conditions at DHL Newlands.
The teams traded blows early on as the hosts opened the scoring with a try from left wing Tumi Mogoje which was converted by flyhalf Jordan Chait, only for Free State U19 to hit back with a try of their own to level things up at 7-7.
Both flyhalves slotted penalties soon afterwards before Mogoje scored in the corner again following an impressive run from fullback Ryan Muller.
Free State U19 responded with a second penalty from flyhalf Christiaan Schutte, but DHL Western Province U19 would have the final say before half-time as outside centre David Brit burst through to score under the poles and give them a 22-13 advantage at the break.
DHL Western Province U19 started the second half with a bang as Muller brushed off a few tackles to go ovr for their fourth try to put them 27-13 up.
The home side were struck a blow when right wing Nico Leonard was shown a yellow card early in the second half, and the visitors took advantage as loosehead prop Boan Venter got over for a try from a driving maul.
DHL Western Province U19 were reduced to 14 men once again when flank Nama Xaba was shown a yellow card with just over 10 minutes to play, but they would be next to score when replacement back Adriaan van der Bank kicked two late penalties to seal the victory.
