The opening round of the much-anticipated WP Club Rugby Score Sevens takes place on Saturday at the Goodwood Sports Grounds, with the opening games taking place at 12h00.
Last year’s tournament proved a big hit with club rugby fans and this year’s edition has been ramped up even further.
Title sponsors of this event, Score Energy Drinks, as well as partners Bashews, Rhino, Die Son, Cape Rugby TV, Tsogo Sun, ER24, Thorburn have all partnered with WPRFU to present and deliver a Club Rugby event like no other.
Fourty four of the province’s best Sevens sides will take part in this six-week rugby showpiece, which is one of the biggest Sevens tournaments in the country, with over 1000 players set to participate.
The final day will culminate with a Dream Team exhibition match against the Blitzboks.
Aside from the obvious attraction of high-class Sevens rugby on show, there are many other fun-filled activities on offer throughout the day on Saturday.
There is a Bashew’s Kiddie’s Corner for the youngsters, a Beer Garden, braai facilities, prize giveaways and food stalls.
Entrance is R20 which includes a complimentary Score Energy Drink. There will also be match day programmes for sale. Kids under 12 get in free.
There is so much on offer this Saturday that there is really only one place to be, Goodwood Sports Grounds.
