Former Western Province and SARU centre Ismail Schroeder has sadly passed away.

Schroeder represented Caledonion Roses and went on to play for both Western Province and SARU in the midfield.

Having played most of his representative rugby at Green Point Track he was known as ‘the HO of the Track’ due to his similarity in style with legendary Springbok HO de Villiers.

Known as ‘Miley’ to his friends, Schroeder was involved in rugby at Caledonion Roses far beyond his playing days and was also an important member of the SARU Legends.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and all those who saw him play.
