PUBLISHED: April 26, 2018

DHL Western Province will field an all-new lock combination in their SuperSport Rugby Challenge encounter with Border in East London on Saturday.

Ruben de Villiers and Marno Redelinghuys will pack down in the second row in the only changes to the forward pack For the clash at the Buffalo City Stadium, which kicks off at 15h00 on Saturday.

The front row and loose trio that did duty in their opening 59-12 victory against the EP Elephants at Wolfson Stadium last week remains intact.

The only changes to the backlne are out wide, with Duncan Saal moving to the left wing to make way for Edwill van der Merwe and Dan du Plessis making his return from injury on the replacements bench.

DHL Western Province Head Coach John Dobson said that his team will be looking to build on what was an encouraging performance against EP Elephants last week.

“We wanted to keep as much continuity in selection as possible so that we give the different combinations a chance to grow.

“We were happy with the result last week, but there are still certain areas where we can make improvements.

“We know that we will be up against a determined Border side, but our focus is very much on ourselves and building some momentum in our game,” he said.
