A late change to the DHL Western Province team means there will be even more club rugby stars on display in the Currie Cup Qualifier against South Western Districts Eagles at City Park on Saturday.

A late change to the DHL Western Province team means there will be even more club rugby stars on display in the Currie Cup Qualifier against South Western Districts Eagles at City Park on Saturday.

Fullback Grant Hermanus has been ruled out with Bronchitis, which means that Belhar’s Dennis Cox will make his first start for DHL Western Province, with Tygerberg’s Alvin Brandt taking his place on the bench.

Cox joins False Bay prop Wesley Chetty and Maties loose forwards Kobus van Dyk and Beyers de Villiers in the starting line-up, whilst Tygerberg prop Christo van Wyk and the Tygerberg duo of Brandt and loose forward Dale Wilson are on the replacements bench as coach John Dobson’s team look for their 10th victory this season.

DHL Western Province Under-19 will face Golden Lions U19 in a curtain-raiser at 14h15, before the Currie Cup Qualifier kicks off at 16h00 with entry R20 at the gate.
