0 – Kick-off at Newlands where DHL WP are looking to make it back-to-back wins as they take on the Pumas.

4 – What a start at Newlands. DHL WP come from their own half and some slick hands puts Edwill van der Merwe over in the corner for the try. Conversion from Tim Swiel makes it 7-0 early on.

10 – Pumas hit back with a try from flyhalf Eddie Fouche to level the scores at 7-7.

14 – DHL WP don’t waste time and get the lead back quickly with a Tim Swiel cross-kick finding Dan du Plessis out wide and the centre finishes in the corner. That makes it 14-7.

17 – DHL WP have come to play today! A beautiful pass from Warrick Gelant puts Seabelo Senatla in space and he needs no introduction to the tryline. That’s three tries in 16 mins to go 19-7 up.

20 – DHL WP offside in front of the kicker, but the Pumas miss touch so they will have to come from their own half.

24 – Pumas on the attack in the 22, but the ball is lost forward, so DHL WP will have the first scrum.

28 – DHL WP win a penalty and then launch a maul. They move into Pumas territory but the ball is lost forward.

32 – Pumas finally turn all the possession and advantage into points as hooker Simon Westraadt scores from a maul to reduce DHL WP’s lead to 19-14.

35 – Great interplay between forwards and backs ends with tighthead prop Sazi Sandi crashing over for the bonus-point try three mins before half-time. DHL WP’s lead out to 26-14 now.

40 – Pumas end the first half with another maul try, this time flank Daniel Maartens scores. DHL WP take a 26-19 lead into the break after we saw seven tries in the first 40 mins.

42 – Action back underway at Newlands, DHL WP ith the early territory and possession. They come close to scoring but Swiel is held up over the line.

47 – Ball goes wide to Seabelo Senatla who puts the foot down and cuts inside. He plays a 1-2 with Paul de Wet to go over for the fifth try. That takes DHL WP’s lead out to 33-19.

52 – Pumas get their fourth try as lock Shane Kirkwood scores from close range to bring them back within 7 points at 33-26.

58 – Great defence from DHL WP. A few attacking line-outs and mauls for the Pumas but they hold out and Xaba makes a crucial turnover in the 22.

61 – DHL WP surge into the 22 and Gelant is brought down just short, but a wild pass from De Wet means that the Pumas can clear it.

66 – No stopping DHL WP this time as Tristan Leyds goes through for the sixth try and the conversion from Swiel takes the lead out to 40-26.

70 – Pumas back on the attack as they look to get back within striking distance. They set up an attacking lien-out in the 22.

75 – Outside centre Erich Cronje scores from the maul, which has worked well for the Pumas today. The conversion puts them back within seven points heading into the last five minutes.

78 – Another Pumas try, this time from replacement hooker Eddie Swarts, to level the scores at 40-40.

80 – Full-time at Newlands where both teams scored seven tries and kicked five conversion to end in a 40-40 stalemate. Three log points for DHL WP. We will be back here on Wednesday to face the Sigma Lions.
