Feinberg-Mngomezulu returns to lead DHL WP U21

PUBLISHED: October 5, 2023

Flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu will lead DHL Western Province U21 in their semifinal against Vodacom Bulls U21 at City Park on Saturday.

The talented playmaker takes the captaincy back from lock Connor Evans, who was at the helm in his absence as DHL WP U21 finished the league phase unbeaten with a convincing 59-28 win against Leopards U21 in Potchefstroom last week.

Their five consecutive wins in this campaign saw them top the standings and take home advantage into the play-offs.

Action at City Park will get underway at 13h00 on Saturday, with a place in the final on the line.

Head Coach Johno van der Walt said that his team are determined to make the most of their home advantage.

“We have built up some good momentum through this campaign to earn home advantage and we intend to make full use of it.

“There is incredible competition for places in this squad and the players must be commended for the way they have pushed one another.

“It will take a good performance to win and book our place in the final, so we will need to be on our game for the full 80 minutes,” he said.
