Dlepu to lead DHL WP U19 at City Park

PUBLISHED: September 6, 2018

Scrumhalf Lucky Dlepu will captain DHL Western Province U19 when they face Toyota Free State Cheetahs U19 at City Park in Athlone on Saturday.

Former DHL Western Province U18 Coca-Cola Craven week captain Dlepu takes over the captaincy from the injured Francke Horn for the encounter, which kicks off at 13h30 in Athlone on Saturday.

Following their bye last week, the only change to the backline sees Nevaldo Fleurs make his first start on the left wing in place of the injured Angelo Davids.

There are two changes to the forward pack with Bevan Prinsloo shifting to No.8 in place of Horn and Henro Meyer in at flank as a result.

On the replacements bench loose forward Nathan Solomons joins the match-day squad along with centre Rikus Pretorius who returns from injury.

DHL Western Province U19 Head Coach Nazeem Adams said that his team is refreshed after their bye and determined to play some good rugby on home turf.

“The bye gave us a chance to look carefully at our game and on Saturday we get an opportunity to show what we have learned from that.

“It is good to be playing at home, but we will have to be sharp to beat what is always a competitive Toyota Free State Cheetahs U19 side,” he said.
