The DHL Western Province squad had their teamwork and communication skills put to the test at HintHunt at the Waterfront on Thursday.
HintHunt players are locked in different themed rooms and must put together the hidden clues they find to overcome various mental tasks they encounter in order to escape the room before their 60 minutes are up.
Having trained on the field in the morning, the DHL Western Province players put their brains to work playing the various ‘escape games’ on offer, which challenged them in completely new ways.
The players were divided into groups and set to work solving a number of clues, puzzles and codes which led to their escape, with a number of different rooms featuring different themes.
Whether they found themselves on a pirate ship or in a submarine, the DHL Western Province players were forced to think outside the box and solve problems under pressure, while having a great time.
Head Coach John Dobson said that the experience was an ideal team-building exercise during the bye week.
“The HintHunt challenge was the perfect activity for us on our bye week, as it forced the players to focus on their communication and decision-making skills, which are so important on the rugby field.
“We had a great time with what were some incredibly enjoyable challenges, so thanks to the guys at HintHunt for hosting us,” he said.
