DHL Western Province Women will take on defending champions Border Ladies in a Women’s Premier Division semifinal at City Park on Saturday.
Having finished the league phase of the campaign with a dominant 49-0 win against the EP Queens, DHL Western Province Women secured second place on the standings and home advantage in their semifinal.
DHL Western Province wing Asiphe Mayaba topped the try-scoring stakes in the regular season.
Mayaba scored her 13th try of the season in WP’s 49-0 win over EP Queens. The Capetonians were always in control and it was their dangerous backs who again created carnage. It is good news for the team in blue and white hoops that Alichia Arries is getting back to her best as well, with the speedster bagging three tries in the commanding win at City Park.
