The DHL Western Province Under-21 team scored a whopping 90-0 Absa Provincial Under-21 win over the Border U21s in East London on Friday evening.
The rampant Province Under-21s scored 14 tries, without conceding a point and despite losing two players, captain Eital Bredenkamp and centre Johnny Kotze, to the sin bin during the match.
DHL WP also lost star lock JD Schickerling early on with an injury but it did not matter in the end as the visitors turned their comfortable 36-0 half-time lead into a final scoreline of 90-0.
Openside flank Bredenkamp scored a hat-trick of tries, amazingly his second hat-trick of the season, and inside centre Janco Gunter also crossed for three tries.
No.7 flank Tapiwa Tsomondo scored a try double, as did right-wing JP Lewis and new starting flyhalf Chris Smith who also kicked ten conversions for his team.
Province’s other try-scorers were replacement wing Dalen Goliath and outside centre Kyle Lombard.
