DHL Western Province U21 will face Vodacom Bulls U21 in a home semifinal at City Park on Saturday.
With seven wins from their 10 games in the league phase of the season, the defending champions finished in second position on the standings to earn home advantage in the play-off clash, which kicks off at 13h00 on Saturday.
Paul de Villiers is back in the starting line-up to lead a team which features 12 players with Carling Currie Cup experience in the starting XV.
Head Coach Johno van der Walt said that having earned home advantage in the semifinal, his team is determined to make the most of it.
“We fought hard to put ourselves in this position and finished the league phase of the campaign with some good momentum so we want to harness that in what will be a tough knock-out game.
“We had to make some big selection calls as there was a big squad of players that all contributed to getting us to this point. This team will be putting everything we have into making the final,” he said.
