DHL Western Province U21 started their season with a 19-10 win against Hollywoodbets Sharks U21 in Durban on Friday.

The defending champions scored three tries on their way to an important win away from home.

Centre Jonathan Roche got the scoreboard moving when he broke through to score under the poles.

That was followed up by a maul try from captain Paul de Villiers, with both tries converted by scrumhalf Imaad Khan to make it 14-0 at half-time.

The home side got back in it with a try and a penalty in the second half, but a second try from De Villiers was enough to seal the win for DHL WP U21.
