DHL Western Province U20 booked a place in the final with a comprehensive 67-24 win against Leopards U20 at DHL Stadium on Saturday.
The home side scored 11 tries on a clear and breezy day, to claim a confortable bonus-point win which means that they will definitely finish in the top two as they have a six-point lead over the Cell C Sharks U20.
DHL WP U20 made a strong start, with two quick maul tries from hooker Gustav Laubscher putting them in control early on.
The visitors managed to score in the corner to get themselves on the scoreboard, but the response from DHL WP U20 was swift, with wing Paschal Ekeji finishing a good team try.
They had the bonus point wrapped up shortly afterwards as flank Paul de Villiers burst through the defensive line and raced away to score the fourth try.
There was enough time for a fifth try before half-time, with flank Louw Nel going over to give his side a 31-5 advantage at the break.
Captain Armand Maritz forced his way over from close range for the first try of the second half. The visitors got one back, but DHL WP U20 continued to apply the pressure as centre Ethan James went through for the seventh try.
Nel had his second on the hour mark to bring up the half-century and added another to claim his hat-trick, with a try from Leopards U20 in between.
James then came up with a moment of brilliance, running from his own 22 and showing incredible pace to score in the corner.
Leopards U20 scored again near the end, but DHL Western Province U20 had the final say as Ekeji got over for his second after the hooter.
