DHL Western Province U19 will start their season with a coastal clash against Hollywoodbets Sharks U19 in Stellenbosch on Sunday.

The opening match of their 2024 campaign will kick off at 10h00 on Sunday on the B Field at Danie Craven Stadium.

Lock Danio Botha will lead a talented side which features a number of players who starred in the blue and white hoops at school level.

DHL Stormers Forwards Coach Rito Hlungwani is overseeing the campaign and is hoping to see his charges hit the ground running on Sunday.

“We held extensive trials and had a look at as many players as possible before settling on a final squad, so the players named in the match 23 have already had to prove themselves in training.

“It is always challenging when a group comes together and you have combinations performing for the first time, but we are really excited about where this team can go,” he said.
