DHL Western Province U19 will go up against EP Elephants U19 at Boland Landbou near Paarl on Friday as an opener for the SA Schools clash with Wales U18.
DHL Western Province U19 will be looking for their third win of the campaign, when they take on the Eastern Cape side in an early game which kicks off at 12h30 on Friday.
Head Coach Nazeem Adams said that DHL Western Province U19 are determined to get back to winning ways on Friday following their defeat to the unbeaten Cell C Sharks U19 last week.
“We have identified a number of areas where we can make a step up, so the players are looking forward to the next challenge and proving themselves on Friday,” he said.
That match will be followed by Aon Under-18 International Series matches between England U18 and France U18 before SA Schools take on Wales U18.
DHL Western Province U18 Coca-Cola Craven Week skipper Adrian Alberts has been named as captain of the SA Schools side for the forthcoming Aon Under-18 International Series.
Alberts, of Paarl Boys’ High, captained the unbeaten DHL Western Province U18 side at the recent Coca-Cola Under-18 Craven Week in Paarl. He plays lock and in his second season with the SA Schools side.
The second match is against France at Stellenberg High School in Durbanville on Tuesday, 14 August, when Wales and England will square off.
The series concludes on Saturday, 18 August at SACS in Newlands, when the SA Schools side face England, while France and Wales will face each other.
