DHL WP line-up confirmed for EP Kings clash

PUBLISHED: October 6, 2015

DHL Western Province head coach John Dobson has revealed his line-up for Friday evening’s Absa Currie Cup clash between the EP Kings at DHL Newlands (kick-off 18h00).

Whilst Dillyn Leyds (groin strain) has recovered and wears the No.15 jersey this week, coach Dobson had a number of injury concerns out of the match against the Lions last week with Chris Cloete, Ruan Botha and Cheslin Kolbe all not available for selection this week.

Hooker Scarra Ntubeni (calf muscle), flanker Rynhardt Elstadt (thigh/quad) and scrumhalf Jano Vermaak (groin strain) remain on the injured list and are also unavailable.

Backline stars Seabelo Senatla and Johnny Kotze are nursing slight niggles and are rested this week.

Coming into the squad this week, exciting DHL WP U21 player Leolin Zas gets a first start on the wing, whilst flanker Justin Benn and utility back Jaco Taute will feature off the bench this week.

Fit-again Juan de Jongh will again captain the side in the No.12 jersey.

The respective U21 and U19 teams will be in action as well, with the DHL WP Under-19s taking on the EP Kings in a crucial clash at 13h45 and the Under-21s meeting at 15h45.

Match tickets are priced at R20 (standing) and R30-50 for seating and available from Computicket and Shoprite Checkers outlets, as well as online at http://wprugby.computicket.com.
