DHL Western Province went down 37-11 in a Carling Currie Cup match against the Airlink Pumas at DHL Stadium on Wednesday.
The visitors made a strong start, scoring an early try and following that up with a penalty to take an 8-0 lead.
DHL Western Province hit back soon afterwards with a try in the corner from wing Angelo Davids, finishing off a flowing passing movement.
Flyhalf Kade Wolhuter added a penalty soon afterwards to tie it up at 8-8 and despite the home side dominating both territory and possession for the rest of the first half, that was the score at half-time.
The visiting team made a strong start to the second half, with Godlen Masimla shown a yellow card, they took advantage with a maul try and a penalty to take an 18-8 lead.
DHL WP responded with a Wolhuter penalty, but a spilled restart saw De Klerk go in for his second try almost immediately.
The Airlink Pumas secured their bonus point when captain Willie Engelbrecht crossed in the left corner and they added another from fullback Tapiwa Mafura to seal a deserved win.
