The unbeaten DHL Western Province side will face local rivals Boland Cavaliers, in a SuperSport Rugby Challenge clash, at Helderberg RFC, on Saturday.
There will be plenty of rugby on show at the Charles Morkel Stadium in Strand, with DHL Western Province Women up against their Boland counterparts in the first game of the day which kicks off at 12h30, ahead of the SuperSport Rugby Challenge encounter, which starts at 15h00.
That match will be followed by a club rugby clash at 17h00 which will see hosts Helderberg RFC take on Hamlets.
With six consecutive wins under their belts, coach John Dobson’s DHL Western Province side have already booked their spot in the SuperSport Rugby Challenge play-offs as they cannot be caught at the top of the South Section log with just two fixtures remaining before the knock-out phase of the competition.
They will be looking for their seventh straight win of the campaign and second against Boland, who they beat in Velddrif earlier in the season.
Dobson said that he team is looking forward to standing together with their Faithful supporters in what should be a hard-fought Cape derby.
“We know that we are in for a test every time we line up against Boland, so the players are looking forward to what will be an intense match.
“It s great to be playing out in Helderberg and I am sure we can expect some great support there,” he said.
Entrance to the ground is R15 per person and R10 per parking, with tickets available at the gate and children under 12 free of charge.
Charles Morkel Stadium is in Church Street in Strand which is off Broadway Boulevard (R44).
