Fourteen of the top rugby High Schools in the Western Cape will get the opportunity to showcase their skills on the DHL Newlands pitch at the Western Province Schools Day on Tuesday.
The much-anticipated annual event serves as the starting point for the High School rugby season, giving 1st XV players the chance to show what they can do on the same turf as their heroes.
Entry is free, with gates opening at 14h00 at DHL Newlands for this festival of top class schoolboy rugby.
There will be seven matches in total, which will be played in two 20-minute halves each, with no kicking for poles allowed in an attempt to encourage attacking rugby.
Each school will also be paired with a DHL Stormers player who will sit with the team during their match to stand together with the next generation of rugby stars and show how much their support means to them.
The first match kicks off at 15h00, with prize-giving taking place directly after the final match at 20h19.
