The quarterfinal schedule has been confirmed for the Cell C Community Cup Easter Championships, which gets underway in George next weekend, with Durbanville-Bellville taking on College Rovers at 16h00 on Thursday, March 28.
Durb-Bell are, of course, the last remaining Western Province club side in the tournament and a very realistic title hope for the province, after SK Walmers just missed out on qualifying from Pool A.
In other action, Pacaltsdorp Evergreens will play Rustenburg Impala in the main match of the opening day of the knockout phase of this new tournament, SARU announced on Friday.
Evergreens, the SWD champions based just outside of George, ensured that a local team would run out at Outeniqua Park next Thursday, March 28, when they qualified second from Pool D to set up a match against Pool C winners Impala. The match kicks-off at 18h00 and is the last of the four Cup quarterfinals – all of which will be broadcast live onĀ SuperSport One.
The tournament continues on Saturday, March 30 with another four matches, with the Cup Final scheduled for Easter Monday at 14h30.
Tickets for all three days of the Easter Championships are on sale through Computicket and will cost R50 for reserved seats on the main grandstand and R20 for unreserved seats on the North, South and East stands. Tickets can be purchased through www.computicket.com, through their call centre on 0861 915 8000 or at Computicket outlets nationwide.
