Brackenfell beat Pniel Villagers by 56-31 in the two teams’ Super League B clash at DHL Newlands on Saturday, a curtain-raiser to the crucial Absa Currie Cup clash between DHL WP and the FS Cheetahs.

Brackenfell led 29-17 at half-time, but Pniel chased the game gallantly in the second half – scoring an early try to keep within striking distance.

This result means that Brackenfell will remain in the Super League B division in 2013, with Collegians joining Pniel Villagers in dropping down a division.
