Bellville beat Kuilsriver 27-19 to claim the WPRFU Score Club Sevens title in front of a packed crowd at Goodwood Rugby Club on Saturday.
Having shown great form throughout finals day, Bellville beat Northerns, Kraaifontein, Macassar and Kylmore on their way to the Cup Final showdown with Kuilsriver.
It was a disappointing end to the tournament for Kuilsriver, who had finished Pool B as runners-up and showed great fighting spirit to hold off Police, Young Peoples and UWC on their way to the final.
Kylmore had impressed before running into the eventual champions in their semifinal, having picked up wins against the likes of Langa, Hands & Heart and Brackenfell.
Maties claimed the Plate, having beaten Helderberg in the final, whilst Elsies River took the Bowl with a victory against Eersterivier and Collegians proved too strong for Young Stars in the Shield Final.
Carlton Goodman from champions Bellville was named Player of the tournament, to cap a succesful campaign for his team.
