Premiership Rugby on Tuesday confirmed a sensational set of fixtures for the second World Club 7s, which will take place at London’s Twickenham Stadium on August 16-17.
Each of the three pools has a cosmopolitan feel as 12 of the best club Sevens sides from across the world battle it out over two days of high-octane rugby.
DHL Western Province have been drawn into Pool A alongside RC Enisei (from Siberia), New York and the winners of England’s Premiership Rugby 7s competition (to be confirmed on Friday, August 8).
Province will open their account at Twickenham on Saturday, August 16 against England’s top club team – at 11h53 (UK time) – before taking on New York at 13h38. DHL WP’s final pool clash is against RC Enisei at 16h37.
New York – last year’s Plate Winners – have been handed the privilege of kicking-off the tournament at 11h30 on Saturday, taking on Enisei, whilst the heavyweight clash between Auckland and Super 15 finalists NSW Waratahs closes Day One at 18h30 (Pool C).
In between, thousands of fans will be treated to a feast of 19 different Sevens rugby clashes that include an exhibition game between the Army and a Rugby For Heroes select side at 13h50.

All teams will compete against each other in their three pools on Day One, before dividing into three Cup competitions on Day Two, with the leading sides competing for the chance to be crowned the best Sevens club side.
Siberia’s RC Enisei, Australia’s NSW Waratahs and USA’s Seattle will join Cardiff Blues for their World Club 7s debuts. DHL Western Province, the Vodacom Blue Bulls, Auckland, New York City 7s, Gloucester Rugby, Kuban Krasnodar and Buenos Aires are among the teams making a return to Twickenham for this year’s tournament.
Live BT Sport coverage starts on Saturday at 15h00 when Gloucester Rugby take on Cardiff Blues (Pool B), followed by an intriguing clash between the Blue Bulls and Buenos Aires (also Pool B).
The knockout matches start at 11h30 on Sunday with the final kicking off just after 17h30. The exhibition match on the Sunday will see two top-class women’s teams meet for the Supporters’ Club Trophy.
