DHL Western Province U21 ran in 10 tries on their way to a convincing 70-7 win against Toyota Cheetahs U21 at DHL Stadium on Saturday.
The bonus point win sends them up to second place on the standings as the competition takes an extended break before the second round of fixtures.
The home side got on the scoreboard early on with a maul try from captain Paul de Villiers, which was converted from out wide by scrumhalf Imad Khan.
Outside centre Jonny Roche ran in a first-half hat-trick and there were further tries from No8 Max du Pisani and flyhalf Compion von Ludwig to give DHL WP U21 a commanding 42-0 advantage at half-time.
The dominance from the team in blue and white continued in the second half, with De Villiers, Khan and wings Jared Africa and Ryan Manual all scoring in the first 10 minutes after the break.
The visitors got a try with just over 10 minutes left to play, but that was little more than a consolation as DHL WP U21 cruised to a comfortable win in the end.
