DHL WP U19 forced to change for semifinal

DHL Western Province U19 have been forced to make some changes for their semifinal clash with Fidelity ADT Lions U19 in Johannesburg on Friday.

The two teams will square off with a place in the final on the line when action gets underway at 11h30 on Friday at Emirates Airline Park.

There are seven U19 players in JC Mars, Divan Fuller, Kyle Smith, Wandile Mlaba, Herman Lubbe, Gino Cupido and Xola Nyali who will be representing DHL Western Province U21 in their semifinal at City Park on Saturday.

There are also two players unavailable for the match in Johannesburg due to academic commitments, while two more players will travel up later than the team due to exams.

Attack Coach Labeeb Levy said that despite these challenges, the team is primed to give their all.

“While we have had some disruptions, there has been a lot of hard work put in to get us to this point and the players selected are highly motivated to do the jersey proud.

“We know it will be a big challenge up in Johannesburg and it is one we are looking forward to with a place in the final on the line,” he said.
