DHL WP U19 go down late in Durban

A late penalty from Cell C Sharks U19 saw DHL Western Province U19 suffer a narrow 25-23 defeat in Durban on Friday.

DHL Western Province held a 23-22 lead heading into the final stages, but the home side did just enough to claim the win and remain unbeaten this season.

The visitors scored tries via wing Angelo Davids and flank Tonderai Chiwumbutsa, with flyhalf Christopher Schreuder adding the rest of the points with his boot.

The first half was a tense affair, with the home side taking a 12-6 advantage into the half-time break.

DHL Western Province U19 fought their way back well to take the lead in the second half, but they were denied by a late penalty.
