In Super League A, Durbell caused a massive upset as they came from behind to record a thrilling 55–32 win over Hamiltons. The loss puts a dent in Hamiltons’ title charge and signals a stunning return to form for the reigning Community Cup champions.

In results elsewhere, Sir Lowrians picked up an invaluable 25–24 win over a struggling Kuilsriver team which heaps the pressure on Kuyper Albertyn’s men who are in desperate need of wins to secure the top-flight status. Brackenfell’s superb debut season continued with a 17–14 away win over NNK.

In Super League B, Bellville defeated Young Peoples 22-19, league leaders Union-Milnerton thrashed Kraaifontein 69–7, Macassar narrowly defeated Helderberg 17–15 in a local derby whilst Pniel Villagers kept up their great form with a 19–17 win over St Georges in Gustrouw.

In Super League C, Scottsdene defeated Lagunya 33–24, Langa narrowly defeated Raithby Universals 28–27, Kylemore went down to Paarl 21–10, whilst Franschhoek United recorded a 14–0 shutout against Elsies River United.

Young Wesleys defeated Eersterivier 28–26 in the Southern League to preserve their unbeaten record going into the promotional competition. Northerns claimed a massive 69–0 victory over Bishop Lavis in the day’s other fixture.

Meanwhile in the Northern League, Stel/Cor thrashed Delft 77–13, and in the Paarl League, Allandale defeated Violets 37–19.

The super league fixtures scheduled for this coming weekend include NNK hosting Tygerberg in Parow and Milnerton hosting Bellville at Theo Marais Park.

The Paarl knock out games commences on Saturday at Dal Josofat with some games taking place as a curtain raiser for the DHL Western Province match against Griffons at Faure Street in Paarl scheduled to kick off at 15hoo.

The remainder of the WP Club Rugby season has begun its annual mid-season break.
