UCT meanwhile laboured to a 20–17 win over SK Walmers at the Green Point Track in a result which would have benefitted the hosts more. Belhar meanwhile picked up a great 21–14 win over UWC and Tygerberg were far too strong for Vics, running out 30–3 winners to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
In Super League B action, Hamlets strengthened their lead at the top of the log with a 31–12 win over Young Peoples in Mamre. Union-Milnerton head up the chasing pack and did their title challenge no harm with a hard-fought 32–29 win over Pniel Villagers in Eikendal.
Elsewhere, Hands & Heart got their season back on track with a 50–28 rout over struggling Strand RFC. Helderberg triumphed 39–18 over St Georges in their derby clash whilst Macassar were too strong for Collegians, running out 35–24 winners in an entertaining clash. There were good wins for Violets and Bellville respectively.
In Super League C, Young Stars maintained their lead atop the standings with a 21–10 win over Elsies River United. It’s now six wins on the trot for Rodger Smith’s men who celebrated the launch of their new jersey in style.
Elsewhere, Rangers beat Langa 16–10, Paarl defeated Silverleaf 29–9 to maintain their promotion hopes, Raithby Universals crushed Hamediehs 50–18, Strand United went down to Kylemore 16–30, whilst Scottsdene defeated Franschoek United 34–30 in the game of the round.
The City league served up some great action over the weekend. Mannenburg Rangers defeated Progress 35–15 in a sweeping performance. Caledonian Roses picked up a big win over Police, running out 25–6 winners. Young Ideas thumped Watsonia 46-5, whilst Tech-Tuine defeated Silvertree 34–14. Busy Bees were far too strong for Perseverance as they ran out comfortable 43–15 winners.
In the Southern League, Rocklands overcame Peninsula 22–19 in a tight contest, Young Wesleys were comfortable 28-9 winners over Titans, whilst Eersterivier picked up a solid 32–15 win over Thistles.

Lower Paarl continue to lead the Paarl League and they picked up their sixth win on the trot as they defeated Paarl Rangers 35–20. In results elsewhere, Young Gardens defeated Windmeul United 27–14 and Riverstones went down 15–21 to Violets.
