DHL WP maintained their unbeaten status and progressed to the semifinals of this year’s Vodacom Cup, by beating the Lions 58-34 in the competitions quarterfinal round, at City Park today.

Only 7 points separated the teams at the break as DHL WP held on to a 27-20 lead. Province, who crossed the line 4 times in the first half, ran rampant in the second period adding a further 5 tries, 3 of them scored by Kurt Coleman.

Province will play the Pumas in the semifinal next week at DHL Newlands, as a curtain raiser to the DHL Stormers Super Rugby clash against the Cheetahs.

For DHL WP tries were scored by – Lobberts, Roux, Holmes, Kitshoff (2), Fenton-Wells, Coleman (3), with all the rest of the points coming from the boot of Catrakillis.
