Head coach Robbie Fleck today named his DHL WP Under-21 team to take on the EP Kings’ U21s in the table-topping Province side’s final last league fixture of this year’s Absa Provincial U21 competition.
Utility back Ryno Eksteen (pictured, above), who has been in fine form thus far in 2015 – at flyhalf, centre and fullback, will skipper the DHL WP U21s on Friday, starting in the No.15 jersey this time.
Chriso van der Merwe will line up at No.8 in the absence of regular DHL WP Under-21 skipper Rikus Bothma, whilst JD Schickerling – who is back in action after suffering a serious neck injury last year – will start his first game in 13 months.
The DHL Western Province Under-21 team will finish top of their log and host a home semifinal next week, regardless of the result in this game.
Friday’s match kicks-off at 15h45, at DHL Newlands, and will be played as the curtain-raiser to the Absa Currie Cup clash between DHL WP and the EP Kings senior teams.
