DHL WP get back to winning ways

DHL Western Province returned to winning ways in the 2015 Absa Currie Cup with a brilliant 33-15 bonus point win over ORC Griquas at DHL Newlands on Saturday.

The hosts led by just 13-9 at half-time, with Griquas briefly taking the lead with 23 minutes left on the clock – only for the defending champions to turn on the style in the final quarter.

Not only did DHL WP claim a valuable third win of 2015, but they grabbed a four-try bonus point too when replacement flyhalf Rob du Preez collected a Seabelo Senatala kick-ahead five minutes from full-time.

Province’s other tries were scored by scrumhalf Nic Groom (the official Absa Man of the Match), flanker Rynhardt Elstadt and inside centre Jaco Taute.

Starting No.10 Kurt Coleman kicked two convesions and three penalties, with Griquas managing just five penalty goals on the night.
