BACK TO TEAM
Eben Etzebeth

In 2011 Etzebeth helped UCT to the Varsity Cup title. Less than a year later he made his Super Rugby debut and he played his first Test before even playing in the Absa Currie Cup. Back-to-back Man of the Match Awards signalled his entry to Currie Cup rugby and he ended 2012 with a Currie Cup title and 11 Test caps.

Eben’s earliest rugby memory is: Playing Under-8 rugby in ‘Stormies’ jerseys which his dad got sponsored for him and his teammates.
If given the choice, Eben would invite the following people to dinner: Mike Tyson (to hear his boxing stories), Jonah Lomu (he’s a rugby legend) and Thierry Henry (the best finisher and striker ever).
